Isha Upanishad 6
Sanskrit
यस्तु सर्वाणि भूतान्यात्मन्येवानुपश्यति...yas tu sarvani bhutany atmany evanu pasyati...
Translation
One who sees all beings in the Self and the Self in all beings never turns away.
Explanation
This verse articulates the experiential fruit of nondual realization — a perception of unity that makes separateness and enmity impossible. When one genuinely perceives the same Self in all beings, the experience of loathing or fear of others dissolves naturally. This is not a moral prescription but a description of what perception becomes when the veil of separateness thins.
Life Application
In encounters with those who seem very different from you, practice the inner gesture of looking for what is fundamentally the same — the awareness that looks out through all eyes.
