Bhagavad Gita 18.66
Sanskrit
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज...sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja...
Translation
Abandon all varieties of dharma and simply surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sin.
Explanation
The final and most radical teaching of the Gita — surrender above all partial duties and obligations. After eighteen chapters of nuanced teaching on action, knowledge, and devotion, Krishna distills the entire teaching into a single instruction: let go completely. This verse is the central text of many Bhakti movements and is understood as the most direct path — the path of total surrender.
Life Application
Notice where you are still carrying the burden of being responsible for outcomes. Practice placing that burden in the hands of something greater than the personal self.
