Bhagavad Gita 9.22
Sanskrit
अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते...ananyaś cintayanto mam ye janah paryupasate...
Translation
To those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form, I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.
Explanation
This is one of the most reassuring verses in the Bhagavad Gita, a direct promise of divine support to sincere devotees. The key word is 'ananya' — undivided, exclusive devotion — pointing to a wholehearted, surrendered orientation rather than transactional religion. The Divine becomes the provider and protector when the devotee fully entrusts themselves.
Life Application
In moments of anxiety about lacking enough — enough resources, enough strength, enough guidance — turn inward with sincere devotion rather than effortful striving.
